Beta ALumni Update

Lead by alumni brother, Tom Coleman, the entire active chapter will be lending a hand April 11th at the Annual Eddington School Fair. Beta has been helping out the faculty put on this event for the elementary students for eight years now and is looking forward to making this one the best yet!

In 1935, University President, Arthur Hauck, inaugurated MAINE Day, and day set aside for "spring cleanup" of the campus. Many classes are suspended for the day and all of the campus community - students, faculty, staff and alumni - pitch in to spruce up campus. The day kicks off with a wake-up parade led by the President, followed by work projects throughout the morning. A giant barbecue is then held in the Steam Plant parking lot at lunchtime for all volunteers. Beta will be doing a house clean-up as well as cleaning the yard and doing repairs to the sign in front of the house. Maine day is on Wednesday, April 30th.
